Recently a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti’s Port au Prince, devastating the impoverished nation.
In response, Arcade Fire’s RĂ©gine Chassagne is urging people to help. She has posted a new song Haiti and a letter on the band’s website. Another way to help is by texting “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to RedCross relief efforts.

Efterklang – Modern Drift
I deleted huy4. I will continue to post music on here, but music blogging is a responsibility that I’m not qualified for. That’s all! I hope everybody had a great New Years!

Black Friday/Saturday
I had a great Black Friday today. I usually get up at an unholy hour to go shopping at the Camarillo Premium Outlets with my parents, but due to the recessive economy our tradition has been curbed. Instead, I slept in until 11 and spent the day in Long Beach with my friends Tricia and Jessica.
Update (11/28 11:55 AM):
I had to cut that entry short because I went out. It’s Saturday night now and I’m lying in bed. Today was a good day:
- Woke up at 11
- Cleaned my room
- Did the laundry
- Bought Panda Bear’s Person Pitch used for seven bones at Fingerprints!
- Went to my uncle’s house for a belated Thanksgiving party
- Played ping pong
- Watched Stanford beat Notre Dame
- Watched Lakers beat GSW

I shuffle BSS and Kevin Drew when I do math. This is a recent favorite. The video is cool too. Enjoy!

Games
Hello all!
Lately I’ve been swamped with schoolwork, but this weekend I finally caught a break. What did I do with this free time? Played computer games of course! Tricia got me on this Facebook game called Fishville. The objective of this game is to make money and increase experience by buying, raising, and selling fish in a virtual fish tank. Here’s a screen cap:
As you might notice, I have the most experience points out of my five neighbors. That’s because I stayed up until 4:00 AM yesterday morning hustlin’ fish.
Another game that I’ve been playing is Spore, an equally addictive simulation game. In this one, the objective is to create a species, evolve, explore, and eventually conquer other tribes/nations/planets. My mom bought the game for me on Saturday and in two nights, I became so obsessed with it that I had to uninstall/sacrifice it in the name of productivity and sleep.
Fishville on the other hand…

Twitter moments
I’ve stopped using Twitter for awhile now, but as I read through my old posts, I noticed that, for me, Twitter more effectively captured life’s poignant moments than other networking sites Facebook, Myspace, and WordPress. I’d like to share some of my best Twitter moments:
“Shitting and twitting simultaneously.”
“Just beat some fifth graders in basketball.”
“Today is my favorite holiday – Free Slurpee Day @ 7/11 http://twitpic.com/a0ph6“
“First tweet from 3GS.”
“$5 tie dye pizza.”
“18! Wahoo!”
“Vegas or bust!!!!!”
“My dessert has an 8-pack.”
“More Slurpeeees.”
And some of my worst:
“Warning: Do not buy yo-yo loaches unless you want them to kill every other fish in your tank!!! (Frogs are okay)”
“The Pimpmobile broke down.”
“4:04 AM – Just woke up from a dream about Freddy Krueger…”
“I hate ants! Purposefully placed a candy on the floor so I can kick more ant ass.”
“Fuck nightmares.”
“Apple juice came out of my nose.”
“I walked into a wall.”
As you can see, I’ve had my share of ups and downs and Twitter is explicit in it’s coverage of these events. Walking into that wall especially hurt.
